The Blacktown Hospital re-development is undergoing an enormous transformation.
Adjacent to the hospital site lies our proposed development for a three storey health services facility including three levels of basement carparking.
The site is unique in the way that there is no height limit, however maintaining amenity and privacy for the neighbouring building was a key concern we needed to address.
Sculpting a corner from the building 'block' preserved daylight into their backyard. Brick was everywhere to be seen, so we used that as a base for our material selection however introduced a contemporary touch with clever detailing of depth and profiled metal.
