Palillos Yakitori Restaurant
In the last ten years, Jalan Mesui has become one of the most popular streets in Kuala Lumpur. This little alley houses a set of restaurants and bars with a lot of character and affection for design, where in addition to local cuisine we can find Peruvian, Korean, Indian or Japanese food.
Shirley Khoo and Roberto Solanes have spent years touring every corner of the land of the rising sun and after a long period managing "Pinchos", perhaps the most famous Spanish restaurant in Malaysia, they decide to create a fusion of Japanese and Spanish cultures, take it to the kitchen and create Palillos.
A window in a green wall reveals what is happening inside Palillos, creates curiosity, allows you to see enough to create a claim without depriving of the privacy that customers need. A Japanese oasis within Southeast Asia.
The design tries to respect the purest Japanese style, create a warm and cozy environment, where wood plays the leading role over the rest of the materials.
